Votto for Berkman and Possibly traded Oswalt? WHIR as always

Postby HueyntheNews » Sat May 15, 2010 9:33 am

I have howard at 1st in a 10 team h2h no keepers and pitching is so overvalued
[ Hitting: RBI 1, R 1, BBL 1, K -5, Steal 2, CS -1 (single=1 HR=4) // Pitching: K .5, W 7, QS 3, ER -1, Hit -1, HB -1, Inn 3, L -5 ]
And i have votto at util My pitching is pretty good after a series of trades but I want more. Could Oswalts possible trade to a contender and berkman's lowered injury value be worth what I'm getting at U?
Or do you think he's worth Cliff Lee or Grienke (with his epic losses)?
This guy know more about baseball than anyone I know, so I'm not gonna get the advantage in this deal. Its just an equitable thing He wants a 1b upgrade and I have an extra 1b.
Would the oswalt berkman one be in my interest? Is the puma back, will ossie get traded? Whats your honest opinion? Will Hou continue to suck shit if they both stay there? Leave a link to yours Ill help.

Keeper or 1 year redraft?

Keeper - NO
Redraft - Maybe

Both Berks and Oswalt are getting up there in age and would think that any little minor mishape could land either on the DL. It also depends who you would be dropping to make room for them on your team, so ask yourself is Berkman/Oswalt really worth Votto and ????? In most cases I would say no

Thanks, thats true they're both crazy DL prone. I knwo hes a top 5 1b and so does the other guy, so do ya think i could steal Lee or Grienke?

I would target only Grienke. I don't like Cliff Lee at all and think that he isn't enough value for Votto, where Grienke would be IMO

To be honest, I would not go after Oswalt or Berkman with someone like Votto. Votto has youth on his side and is a stud. I feel like Berkman/Oswalt could get injured at any moment.

In a non-keeper I'd consider this, but in a keeper definitely keep Votto.
