Gallardo and A-Go for Braun? WHIR

Postby LARS929 » Fri May 14, 2010 3:10 pm

I would be getting Braun and giving up Gallardo and A-Go. I haven't been proposed this, I am merely seeing if I should propose it and if it is good for me as well as if the other guy may accept.

10 team league, h2h with normal 5x5 stats plus OBP, doubles, QS, k/9. Also is a keeper league where we keep 8 players.

My team:
C. V-mart
1b: Pujols
2b: Cano
SS: Tulowitski
MI: Scutaro
CI: A-Gonzalez
OF: Quentin
OF: C. Young
OF: Pence
OF: R. Davis
Util: Smoak
Bench: Willingham
DL: Ellsbury

SP: Lincecum, Hanson, Gallardo, Liriano, Dempster, Slowey, J. Garcia, Scherzer
RP: Bell, Lidge, Nunez, Rodney, Contreras

Will help if you post a link

Hmm, not sure. Who would fill the role for A-Go? You already have power in Pujols, but I dunno. I never worked a 10 team league before.

I hold off -- A-Go could get dealt or otherwise will heat up and be very productive and Gallardo is a horse who is great for the K's and seems a mainstay in your rotation.

I would pull this trade. Most of your keepers are your offensive players, and your OF is pretty weak. You already have Pujols at first.

Thoughts?

I like this trade a lot for you. I think you have the team to take the hit with your SP and obviously Braun goes in for A-Go! You're trading a solid, but not superstar SP and great hitter, to get a superstar player....Top 5 overall. Do it!!!

Even if Braun complicated your keeper decisions, I would still take this. I do NOT like Gonzalez; he cannot uphold this pace of power. Gallardo is a great keeper option, but Braun is a greater one. Your offensive keeper core will be awesome, and Lincecum is quite possibly the best keeper to build future rotations around. I think this is a great trade for the future, and it shouldn't hurt you this year either. I'd say take it.

i agree with this completely. something about a-go just hasn't even done it for me (at least not out west), and braun is top 5 in himself.

thanks for mine.
