EYJR heading to the DL

Postby kingmike74 » Fri May 14, 2010 10:56 am

So, anyone speculating how long Eric Young Jr. will be out, and is he worth a roster spot?

CBS

Rockies 2B Eric O. Young sustained a stress fracture in his right tibia while rounding first base in Wednesday night's game against the Phillies, though the extent of the injury was not discovered until Thursday, according to the Denver Post. He will miss time with the injury and is expected to be placed on the 15-day disabled list, though no move has been announced yet

Not worth a roster spot at this point, not at all. Sorry to say.

+1. Even with Barmes stuggling as bad as he is, EYJ is headed to the DL to start making room for returning pitchers. At this point tho, even when he was healthy he was struggling to get PT for some reason, so I would cut ties and look elsewhere.
