Crazy Srasburg offer?

I would like to try to get SS . The GM that owns him proposed this idea to me

John Maine, Alex Rodriguez and
Stephen Strasburg for Cliff Lee and David Wright.
add your #4 for my #10
Arod cannot be kept. Lee and Wright each have one year remaining after this year.
I could use another closer and probably could get Bailey inlcuded instead of Maine.
Nexts years draft will be loaded inthe first 3 rounds. Think I should do this ?
Six team keeper. I would have to decide between Halladay, SS and Lirano who to keep with Miggy, Utley. Reyes, Albert and Holliday
But I could also trade Halladay or Liriano in the off season for an upgrade in picks. When we trade picks we have to include a pick because all have to have a total of 20 picks

id take the deal if you can keep wright and lee for only one more year...how long would u be able to keep strausberg for??

I don't like it...If your playinfg for this year, I'd rather have Lee and Wright over A Rod and Stras. Given A Rod's contract is expiring, your losing two keepers in Lee and Wright just to gain Strasburg? Whether your competing this year or rebuilding for next, your losing out either way.

Agreed, I don't care for that. Strasburg on a three year contract should get you a hell of a nice player, you don't need to give up Arod in the process(not that Im against trading ARod by any means, but not this deal).

You reversed the trade. I would be GETTING Arod and SS .
The thing is with this trade I would have still have Utley. Albert, Miggy Cabrera, Reyes, Holliday , Halladay, Josh Johnson, Wright, Cliff Lee and Liriano to pick six from. Wright , Cabrera , Johnson and Lee all have one year left. Halladay has three years after this year and Reyes, Albert and Utley will have two years left after this year. We can only keep six.We changed the rule this year from nine keepers to six much to my displeasure.I was out voted.
