Lidle is having one of the best springs out of any pitcher. He was very solid in the first month or 2 of last season. I would rate him a John Lackey of last year.. 12-13 wins
As an ace, he'll go against pitchers like RJ, Prior, etc. He'll get his ass kicked. I don't know if he'll do well in ERA/WHIP, but anything more than 12 wins is a stretch, IMO.

Hey, Lidle is a step-up for the Reds. Two years ago their ace was Elmer Dessens. Who was it last year, Jimmy Haynes? Man, the only team in the NL with worse starting pitching over the last 3 years has been Colorado, and at least they have an excuse.
I think I'd flip their rotation upside-down. Put Acevedo, Claussen, and Harang in some order at the top. I think the only thing worse than Lidle as the "Ace" is having Jimmy Haynes as the potential #2 guy.
This is even funnier: Of the pitchers still with the Reds at the end of last year, Reitsma led in both Wins (9) and Saves (12). Williamson, the team leader in Saves, was traded to the BoSox.
When the same guy leads your team in Wins and Saves, you know you've got pitching problems.
