Brett Myers or Jake Peavy

Postby jebatzel » Tue Mar 23, 2004 10:43 pm

Who should I keep and who should I trade?

my league counts hr, walks along with the other stats.

Myers had less walks, had more wins, and gave up less HRs last year.

Myers gave up 20 HRS and Peavy gave up 33, they almost had the same amount of innings too.

Peavy did have more Ks though. lower era and lower whip.

So I trade Peavy right?

Thats a pretty good one, might open up a spirited debate on here. Without crunching numbers my instincts tell me to keep Peavy and sell Myers. Just a gut feeling.

couple comments:
- why do you have to trade one?
-trade whoever you can get a better deal on since they are pretty even

Yeah, trade what gives you the best deal. They are both in the same echelon of pitchers.

I like Peavy better but whoever brings in the greatest value is the one I would deal

I decided to give him the choice and he picked Myers.

I drafted Peavy before Myers actually, so I think I made out.

Good for you. ;-D

I'd rather have kept Peavy. :-)
