Is this proposed trade fair? WHIR

Postby kingdon22 » Tue May 11, 2010 12:01 pm

I am dead last in nearly every offensive category in a 12 tam H2H...

But this guy just traded Mauer for a 2b, so he may need a Catcher...and I am overvaluing my players?

I would be trading Victor Martinez, Chone Figgins, and Hunter Pence for Mark Reynolds, Yadier Molina, and Carl Crawford.

If I am overvaluing here is my roster maybe you can come up with something more realistic that would get accepted.

C-Victor Martinez
1B-Ryan Howard
2b-Ian Kinseler
3B-Michael Young
SS-Miguel Tejada
OF-Jayson Werth
OF-Andre Ethier
OF-Michael Bourn
Utl-Hunter Pence
Utl-Chone Figgins
Bench- Mike Aviles
Bench- Martin Prado
Bench Juan Pierre

I need every offensive category ...mainly runs, hr, rbi...just not SB.

I'm surprised your dead last in so many categories. Maybe just sit tight and see what happens. Some of those players maybe having a slow start and could start playing better.

I don't think the other guy will bite on that but go ahead and try if you think you can pull it off..

I do think you're overvaluing.. Reynolds hit 44 jacks last year and almost 30 in '08...Crawford swiped 60 bags last year amongst other things and is playing for a big time contract next year..

Unless I'm missing something.. I'm not sure what the other guy gains outside of a HR upgrade at catcher? Yadier is leading all Catchers in points currently in my league (probably becuase he's swiped 4 bags)..

Yeah, unfortuantely you are very much overvaluing your guys. FIggins and Pence are basically throw away players in my opinion, they offer very little value. VMart is a player, but you are basically asking this guy to trade a 1st/2nd round talent in Crawford, a 3rd/4th round pick in Reynolds, for a 4th/5th round pick in VMart. He has a net loss in every single offensive category in this deal.
C- Montero/Napoli
1B-Pujols
2B-Cano
SS-Jeter
3B-Wright
OF-Dunn, J. Upton, Ichiro
UT-Chris Young
Bench - Carlos Lee, Pierre, Aramis

SP-Liriano, Wainwright, Jamie Garcia, Nolasco, Colby Lewis
RP- Wagner, K-Rod, Capps, Wood, Corpas
