I'm going to hold him for now, as his upside is greater than anyone on the WW. IMO he turns it around at some point in the season, most of the O's lineup has been struggling thus far.

I'm going to drop him in my 10 man league once Nelson Cruz comes off the DL this week. It seems to me like he's regressed this season. He has 4 walks on the season and 29 K's. He is showing absolutely no discipline at the plate and swinging at junk. Let's remember, he hit .344 in April and May last year .. but only .233 since. Depending on the size and how deep your league is ... I would cut him, but keep an eye on him if he starts to turn things around.
Remember me?

He was dropped in my 16 team league and was immediately picked up. (not by me)

2009 APR MAY he hit 63-183 11hr .344.
Rest of season 68-290 8hr .234.
This year, just as bad as June thru Sept of 2009. Actually worse.
So, he's been terrible for almost a year now with no sign of improvement. Dump him, unless you have a bench spot where he can rot away for the rest of the year.

I think his poor start was due to not having Brian Roberts hitting in front of him this year. I actually think this was a good learning experience for him. Last year he started great and sort of put himself on cruise control and players can't do that b/c pitchers will adjust, it's all part of learning to play the game. He's actually hitting .326 the last 14 days and .310 the last 7 days. He should improve bigtime if Roberts returns.
