Big Trade idea, worth it??? WHIR

Postby maddog2020 » Tue May 11, 2010 1:29 am

This guy wants to unload Bartlett (he just got S. Drew) and offered me him straight up for C. Lee. I definitely want more than that for Lee, so thinking about offering this:

I get: Bartlett, Justin Upton, Liriano
I give: Lee, A. Soriano, King Felix

Is this good? stupid? pointless? I've looked at it too long to know anymore.

WHIR, post your link. THANKS!!!

I don't know if I like that for you.
If it were a keeper league, maybe a different question.
In my mind, for THIS year:
Soriano > Upton (though close -- but Soriano is super hot right now, and Upton is still dealing with his K rate / low average)
King Felix >> Liriano
Lee > Bartlett

... I could be pursuaded on the first one -- Upton could turn things around. But I think overall, you're giving away too much.

Help with mine?

I agree with the above completely. You seem to be solidly downgrading with this trade, for this year. If it's a keeper league (which I haven't yet experienced) then perhaps the motivation changes. For this year, you're better off standing pat, or working a smaller trade, IMHO.
