Tex for Konerko and McCutchen

Postby sleepyadam702 » Mon May 10, 2010 4:34 pm

I am in a 10 team H2H. My team is struggling right now and am thinking about trying to change things up a little. My team has zero speed, which is why I am trying to get mccutchen. The other owner is a big yankees fan. Would you make this trade? If this trade was made who would you drop? Andruw or maybe Jenks?

My team
C-Soto
1B-Tex
2B-Hill
SS-Jeter
3B-Zimmerman
OF-Lind, Andruw Jones, Carlos Lee
UT-Miggy, Aramis Ramirez
Bench- Quentin
DL-Granderson

SP-Lester, Beckett, Nolasco, Peavy, Garza, Liriano, Wandy, , Chacin
RP-Fuentes, Jenks, Capps, Lidge

Thanks for mine.

I don't mind the trade. The one aspect that pops out to me is that your OF becomes pretty crowded, especially when Granderson gets back. Having Miggy back at UTL obviously makes losing Tex easier. If Konerko struggles you only have to fill a UTL spot...

obviously this deal will help you more than the other guy right now.

assuming tex can't figure out his issues and konerko keeps his offensive tear going, this is a steal of a deal for you.

having miggy makes this deal worth doing though. no question, you'll improve.

Does give you a nice little SB boost...Konerko is streaking though and will come down a bit. Andruw and Aramis aren't the most reliable though, so I'm not gonna say don't do it, even though Tex is obviously many steps above the two you are getting.

I don't like this deal at all. I think you can do much more with Tex. He always starts slow. He will definitely turn it around. If anything wait till he starts tearing it up then deal him.
