Weeks/Oswalt for Granderson/Dotel WHIR

Postby Jenken » Mon May 10, 2010 6:59 am

Just got offered this deal, leaning towards yes due to my thinness at 2B. I also think Dotel is sketchy, and wouldn't mind getting something for him. I also would have the ability to trade hughes for a stud outfielder. Plus, Granderson is hurt, and that groin injury could linger.

MyRoster:
C-Wieters
1B-Morales,Loney
2B-O.Hudson
3B-zimmerman
ss-andrus
of-braun,lind,rowand,bruce,Granderson
P-Johnson,Garza,Cain,Hughes,E.Jackson,Cecil,Niemann
RP-Lidge,Valverde,Dotel,Street(DL)

Standard Roto Scoring

THanks

I would do it within a heartbeat. Weeks has been a stud sofar and i doubt he will cool off much. The most important part of this deal is Oswalt though. The guy is a tenacious worker and a very good pitcher and when i see names like Jackson and Hughes among your SPs, then i really recommend going for this deal. Oswalt will really upgrade your SP.

Thanks for the help, although I think you are underestimating hughes. :P

Oh sorry my bad!!!

For whatever reason i mixed up Hughes with Pettite. Hughes is a strong pitcher of course. However Oswalt should still be a considerable upgrade over Jackson though.

Wow, I think this is a rather attractive offer. I mean, I GUESS he could be expecting both Weeks and Oswalt to regress to last season's numbers.. Does he consider this a sell-high/buy-low? Ok, seeing that I'm trying to justify his offer -- I would accept it.
