Hamilton for A. Jones and R. Davis?(WHIR)

Postby kidsilk » Sun May 09, 2010 8:53 pm

12 team, AL only, 24 man rosters, 6x6 roto league, 5 player keeper league

I have another owner wanting Hamilton from me and said he would package Adam Jones with someone else for him. I was thinking about asking for Rajai Davis and Adam Jones for my Josh Hamilton. IS that asking for too much and if he goes for it should I do it? Also is there anyone else you think I should ask for to package with Adam Jones for Hamilton? My team is first in pitching but really low in hitting. I need power and speed and think the combo of Jones and Davis might help me out. What do you all think?

My Team:

I like it. I do believe Adam Jones will heat up. He is a stud. Rajai Davis will get SB and Runs and playing for the A's who are playing really well right now. Lastly Hamilton is the wild card as in he is one wrong step away from going on the DL. Then he'll be useless for you

well its hard to ask what else you should ask for from the other guy when we cant see his team. Also, if your teams really struggling in hitting, ajones wont really help you although davis can help you on the paths. I dont like ajones, but hate hamilton so id say its up in the air. In terms of value its a good deal so id say if u need the speed take the deal.

I would definitely say no. Rajai Davis' slump is scaring me, he's getting far too many benched days. Adam Jones is a pretty meh option and is kinda slumping right now. Hamilton's just turned on the heat and has been looking pretty good recently. I would hold onto Hamilton.

I'd rather have Hamilton. That Texas lineup will be amazing when they finally get Nelly Cruz back and have Cruz and Kinsler together for the same time. Lots of RBI opportunities if he stays healthy but then again I am a big Hamilton fan.

I'm leaning towards taking this because I think it might help my team overall but I need some more opinions please. Leave your links.

I'm not wild about any of these guys really, and given that there is a chance one of (if not both) of those guy could pan out for you and Hamilton could conceivably get hurt, I'd say it's not a bad deal. I would rather see you get more, but unless he is willing to give you Matsui and Jones for Hamilton, I would say this is fine.
