Need quite a bit of help on OF/Util/Pitchers WHIR

Postby CrawfordFan13 » Sat May 08, 2010 11:00 am

So someone in my league revamped their team, dropping a bunch of studs for currently hot players. I managed to grab Ubaldo Jiminez (I feel like I won the lottery) and Shin Soo-Choo off waivers. (He also dropped Derrek Lee, Jason Bartlett and Casey McGehee)

But my team was already stacked (or so I feel), and now I'm having trouble fitting configuring my Outfield and Utility slots.

I recently picked up Chris Young and threw him in my Utility spot, I also added Marlon Byrd about a week ago.

So my question is, out of:
Carl Crawford, Manny Ramirez, Jason Heyward, Bobby Abreu, Magglio Ordonez, Shin Soo-Choo, Marlon Byrd, Chris Young, which TWO should I put on the bench?

I'm currently leaning towards Young and Abreu, and maybe bench Marlon Byrd in place of Abreu when he gets hurt.

One last, and much less important question is: Ted Lilly or Andy Pettite? I know this isn't the right forum but I don't really want to make 2 seperate posts for such a simple question. I need to drop Lilly or Pettite, who do you think?

I would drop Pettite.

I would bench Young for sure. After that I think it would be Byrd or Abreu. Just play matchups week to week with those guys.

Please help.

Honestly, you don't need 7 OF's... get rid of young and pick up a pitcher off the waiver wire.

for the pitcher question... you can't go wrong with droppin either ted or andy lol. both are injury risks but andy plays for one of the best offenses in the league so i wouldn't just drop him. besides, he has looked a lot better this season so far then ted has...
