Trade Holliday in a Keeper League? WHIR as always

Postby KSig24 » Fri May 07, 2010 6:37 pm

I have Holliday as a keeper and I am being offered Liriano and Howard whom are both keepers for him. Do I do it?

Whats everyone's opinion on Liriano? He also has Romero.

Thanks for the input. I definitely want to evaluate this deal because its a fierce Keeper league and all moves require plenty of thought and research. I was thinking that if I could get Howard that i gain a little of power, but suffer .avg. In addition, I could also score Liriano who could be super nasty if he holds true to form or maybe scoop up Romero who I think is going to be solid as well. Remember that this is a super competitive Keeper league.

Thanks for your inout. I would hold off one more week before making this deal. Liriano is damaged goods. Can he sustain his production? Howard is going to give you a 250-270 BA a ton of homers and a ton of RBI's but Matt Holliday will give you a .300 BA with 10 less HRs and 10-15 less RBIS is giving up AVG worth it?

Initially, I thought it was a good offer for you.

I would jump on this deal in a heartbeat. Liriano is back and Howard and Holliday are a wash at worst.
League Setup:
13 Team Points League
6 Hitters 3 Pitchers (Positions don't matter)
1B = 1, 2B = 2, 3B = 3, HR = 4, RBI = 1
Win = 12, Save = 5

Pretty hard not to do this trade, even if you're not a Liriano fan. As stated before, at worst Holliday and Howard are a wash, and Liriano is just gravy on top.
