2B Upgrade - WHIR

I am in a 6x6 H2H league with the following categories. Hitting: Runs, RBIs, HRs, SBs, AVG, OPS. Pitching: Wins, Ks, saves, ERA, WHIP, quality starts.

Here is my roster:

DL - Kurt Suzuki

SP - Matt Garza
SP - Tommy Hanson
RP - Rafael Soriano
RP - Jon Rauch
p - Clay Buchholz
P - Phil Hughes
P - Brian Matusz
BN - Chad Billingsley
BN - Kevin Gregg
BN - Joe Blanton

I'm looking to upgrade my 2B spot and have two scenarios available...

One is obtaining Ian Kinsler for Victor Martinez straight up. I figure I could slide Suzuki in at catcher once he comes off the DL.

The second is getting Chase Utley for Justin Morneau straight up. I would slide Victor to first and Suzuki to catcher.

I think I prefer the Kinsler deal because I wouldn't have a power suck at my 1B spot with Victor there, and also get Kinsler's SBs. Just worried about his health going forward. Thanks guys![url][/url]

If you look at your options as simply as:

Morneau/Kinsler vs. Martinez/Utley

Its almost even looking at each pairing as a whole.

Morn/Kins may hit a few more HRs and steal a few more bases.
Mart/Ut will score more runs and hit for higher AVG.

Martinez is starting slow, Kinsler/Morneau are injury risks. If I were in your shoes though I'd say the deciding factor has to be supporting casts, with Mauer hurt. I like the lineup around VMart and Chase more.

Having Martinez gives you some position flexibility down the road as well.
