hitter for Gallardo

Postby sadlyajetsfan » Fri May 07, 2010 9:40 am

After many back and forth offers with this owner, he decided he just wants to get rid of Gallardo for a bat. He didn't specify so I guess he could just use anything. I was thinking Sizemore and Gregg for Gallardo and KRod. I could also try CarGo straight up for Gallardo. A third option I can try is Ethier/Gallardo for J.Upton, but don't think I want to offer that.

Roster is in my sig on the bottom. Still like it? I feel like I have a lot of sb potential so I don't need the 20 or so Sizemore can give me. Also have an ok OF, not anything great but decent

If you could do Sizemore/Garza for Ethier/Gallardo id be all over that one. Something just isnt right with Sizemore this season.

I agree, this would be a great deal for you. I also agree that you should be trying to move Sizemore, so I would work him into a deal if you can't get this one. If you're in a keeper, I might be reluctant to part with CarGo straight up for Gallardo, as I tend to favor hitters over pitchers for long term projection. All told, I would offer Sizemore/Garza for Ethier/Gallardo and be willing to sub Liriano for Garza. Good luck!

I like either of the deals that involves Ethier/Gallardo. Just a matter of choice for you. If you think that Liriano keeps it up give him Garza if not then offer Liriano.

I am a bit torn and would give whichever he wanted of the two. I like both equally, both have their pros and cons but should be dominant.

IMO Liriano has higher upside, and higher risk. Garza will be solid as well, but if you're a gambler, I would start by offering him.

If you can get Ethier, do it. He is a fantastic hitter and I think he will keep up a similar pace to now the entire year.

But getting what you can for Sizemore is good too... as was said, something seems not right about him.
