Braun -4- Panda/Butler/Kershaw... WHIR

Postby BigBlue » Fri May 07, 2010 7:28 am

18 Teams
H2H
8x8
Hitting: R, 2B, 3B, HR, RBI, SB, OBP, AVG
Pitching: IP, W, SV, HLD, ERA, WHIP, K/9, QS

We keep 8 yearly, below is my current team:

C: Wieters
1B: Konerko
2B: Kendrick
3B: Atkins
SS: Aybar
IF: Barton
IF: Velez
LF: Braun
CF: Kemp
RF: Rasmus
OF: McCutchen
Util: A. Jackson
B: Fowler, Blanks, E. Young Jr.

SP: Jiminez, Gallardo, Garza, B. Myers, C. Wilson, Baker, B. Anderson
RP: Capps, O'Day, Ziegler, Wood

I always hate giving up the best player in the deal, but I think this helps my team a lot... I get an upgrade at 1B/IF and a massive upgrade at 3B all while adding Kershaw who I love... Thoughts?

It's hard to say goodbye to your 1st rounder but I like that package- only downer will be the double 1B with Butler/Konerko but you have an U-spot for one of them. I'm a great Panda-fan and his 1B/3B eligibility is nice to have. Atkins will be the odd man out.
Kershaw had an ugly outing but we all know he'll bounce back and I like his potential, very young pitcher with great stuff. hope he's not overdoing it.
It would be nice to know what you did with our advice - so please write a short reply

You are clearly giving up the best player and one of the best possible keepers that is out there, but this well instantly change the out look of your team imo. I think its pretty good value in return for Braun and it makes sense for you team so I would go for it.

While this trade is very serviceable, would you mind posting the other team's roster? If i'm giving away Braun, I'd want to know I'm getting the best return for my stud.

Lil help?

I think this is a strong deal, especially considering you other OFs (Kemp and Rasmus), and how much it helps your IF, which in my opinion is your weakest position. You will hae a more balanced team, as opposed to hoping your stud OFs carry you every night.

I like it.
