No reports of him hurting, just wasn't a good pitching night for him. My guess is seens how they were down 3-0 and he wasn't lights out, or really even close they figured to try to mount a comeback of sorts.

Realize they were going against Matt Cain, so down 3-0 in the 6th is like being down 6-0 with how stingy Cain has been in giving up Runs this year. They pinch hit Maybin for Ricky to try to spark something, nothing more, nothing less.
