Someone just dropped this popular pre-season sleeper. Is he worth a roster spot? I'm typically the guy who chases and covets rookies and sleepers, so I may need to be talked out of rostering him for a few weeks.

The stats are scary

44% K rate
.203/.315/.418
Seems his FB rate is down and GB rate is up.
His contact rates are horrible.

Is he going to break my heart like Chris Davis? Was he lucky to bat .250 last year even?

Depends on the size of your league. I'd say Blanks is borderline rosterable in a deep 12-team league. Anything deeper than that, for sure. Personally, I think he's going to get hot at some point this season and make people regret they dropped him.

I guess I have a similar take. I believe he'll have some tenacious hot streaks, but the time in between will be rough.
