Bradley vs Green

I bring this up because someone just recently proposed the idea of trading me Shawn Green for Milton Bradley.

I've convinced him into thinking that Bradley is somewhat better than Green so I would expect something additional in return.

What do you guys think of Bradley vs Green?


Is Bradley going to live up to his hype?
Is Green going to ever hit .300 and hit 30Hrs again?

Which one is the guy you would want on your roster?

Bradley would be more valuable than Green if he could stay healthy. He's already got an oblique strain/pull/whatever this Spring. I might do the trade just to have some peace of mind instead of worrying if Milton's gonna make it through the season.[/quote]

Shawn Green is so much of a more solid and proven option in the outfield than Bradley that it isn't even funny. If you can get Green for Bradley consider yourself very lucky.

I'd take Green over Bradley in a heartbeat. Bradley has never produced over a full season, and Green has a healthy shoulder this year.

Take Green while you can and pray it's not vetoed. I'd give up Bradley quickly if someone offered me Shawn Green for him.

Yeah, Green is the safer and better option here, take it and run. I really think Green will bounce back this year to 35 homer form.

Id definitely take Green, but if you really have him convinced that you deserve more, than make him a 2 for 2 offer fast before he changes his mind. Make sure not to ask for too much though.

Green will be fine this year.
Expect 35 HRs, 100 RBIs 280 BA, any maybe a handful of SBs

Bradley will play his first full-season and have spectacular numbers while Shawn Green gets back into the "swing" of things;

2004 projections

Bradley: 23 HR's/101 RBI's/ .306 BA/ 28 SB
Green: 33 HR's/105 RBI's/ .288 BA/ 11 SB

It's a toss-up.

I agree, toss up. But Green's perceived value is higher than Bradley's. Green is better trade bait and less of an injury risk; but in terms of pure performance, if Bradley is healthy-- toss up.
