Do you people have a right to veto this trade

Postby AEMRICH » Mon May 03, 2010 10:22 pm

Hi guys I'm the commish of a money league h2h redraft 6x6. I have been in talks with a manager the past couple of days and we finally agreed on this trade
I get
Prince Fielder
Ben Zobrist
He gets
Chris Young- OF D-Backs
Matt Garza
Johnathan Sanchez SP Giants

I feel like I truly got the better end of the deal, but in every trade I feel there is a winner and a loser. In the league I have always said no collusion no veto unless it is Pujols for Juan Pierre type of deal. The team I'm trading to needs some SP and I need the offense. Fielder is likely to turn it around but Zobrist could be a 1 year wonder! The trade sat up for 36 hours after it was accepted and nobody protested until today. Do people have a right to say this needs to be vetoed? Again I acknowledge that I got the better end of this deal IMO.

no way thats vetoable, you're giving up solid players and gettinng back 1 stud and another guy who will hopefully turn it around (zobrist). But no way tahts vetable, this is no "Pujols for Pierre" type of deal

Honestly, I think you are getting the better end of this one by a lot. However, it is not vetoable.

No veto on that one. What if Sanchez keeps his ERA under 3.00 all season? Certainly possible, and would really help the other owner.

Im usually completely against vetoes...I feel they take the fun out of being a good gm and being able to hustle ppl with your skill. Unless it's something ridiculous like Scutaro for Pujols of course.

If I was pro veto I still don't think I would veto that. Your giving up players that are performing at a very high level. It's a classic buy low sell high.
