One of the owners in our CBS league released Jair Jurrjens today.....
This is a very deep 18 team roto league. Jurrjens is easily better than several of the pitchers on my roster. I will make a waiver claim.
What am I missing here? Is there something about Jurrjens that I don't know?
(Matt Thornton is probably the guy that I will dump for Jurrjens. Our league doesn't reward holds. I grabbed Thornton late in the draft with the hope that Jenks might lose his job. That doesn't appear to be happening any time soon.)

Jurrjens is still a good pitcher. Last year I think he had lucky peripheral stats that made his numbers better than they possibly should have been, but he's still worth owning, especially in an 18 team league. I think the owner must have just gotten frustrated with his mediocre start to the season so far (happened in my 11 team league too).
