Just a thought....if you're going to drop him as soon as Hawpe comes back, why not just drop him now and pick up a hot bat from the WW. Then, when Hawpe does come back, you can either drop that player or try to trade him.
And, IMO, Jones isn't going to keep up his stellar start, so I'd try to package him with another player to acquire a 1B

How many max roster moves do you have? I've got 25 in my league, but I usually am set with my roster by the end of May/start of June because by then players are already established in how well they're going to do.
