Cliff Lee for Brandon Phillips trade?

Postby tailgate13 » Mon May 03, 2010 5:05 pm

I am in a keeper league with the following parameters (and rosters listed below)

looking for some advice on how to proceed with a trade offer?

I have been offered 2B Brandon Phillips & either OF Johnny Damon or
OF Hunter Pence for SP Cliff Lee and 2B Martín Prado?

Phillips could cure my Roberts DL problem and Damon could be at least good for 3 cats.

Pence can hit HR's but I wonder if he will ever hit for AVG. or get any RBI's with that lineup? Also wondering if

Phillips being jerked around in the order will cure his woes or continue his struggles?

It's not a bad trade at all -- but if it were me, I think I'd pass. I think Prado has been more than serviceable ... he will not keep that avg up, but hitting 2nd in the braves lineup aint shabby. And you're obviously giving up the best player in Lee. It's just a little too much for me ... giving up your true ace.

Help me out?

I agree. It's not a terrible offer but looking at the rest of your rotation, I don't think I would give up Lee.
