Sabathia for Kinsler and Torii Hunter WHIR for sure

Postby baseballcrazy » Mon May 03, 2010 4:53 pm

I was offered Kinsler and Torii Hunter for Sabathia. However, due to my lack of speed, I was thinking of counter offering either Kinsler and Ichiro, or Kinsler and McCutchen for Sabathia (and maybe throw in Swisher?) He also has Chone Figgins who could fill in nicely at my weak 3B spot. Thoughts? Do you guys think this would fly? Thanks

If you could get Kinsler/Ichiro I think I would pull the trigger. Anything less and I'm not sure I would be able to give up Sabathia.

Yep, I agree. Your lineup has the pop necessary to stay moderately competitive, so an aging Hunter isn't the answer. Kinsler/Ichiro would not only get you the speed but Ichiro's average would help raise your team average that is likely to be stifled a bit with the likes of Drew, Rasmus, etc. Also, as great as Guillen is hitting, you could use a guy like Ichiro to fill in if and when he comes back to earth.
