I have played 4x4 and 5x5. A group that I play with asked about 6x6. I figure adding HOLDS for the pitching category to the standard WINS, ERA, WHIP, SAVES, K'S, but what hitting category assuming the standard AVE, HR, RBI, SB, RUNS?
I'm not really crazy about Holds as a category for pitchers, I much prefer QSs. In the 6x6 league I play in, we use OBP and QS, but I think OPS would work just as well as OBP.
How does QS "open up the RP pool"? It's also worse stat, IMO, than Holds- in attempting to reward "good pitchers on bad teams", the few guys who "excel" at it but not Wins tend to be boring guys who aren't helping out in other categories.
We went with K:BB to open up the RP pool- it puts a lot of value on elite setup guys.
Y was talking about HLDS opening up the RP pool for deep leagues . The QS just adds an extra cat to win, no one chases them, they just let them come as they may.
