Jhoulys Chacin, Tom Gorzelanny, Wade LeBlanc, Should I bite?

Postby rocknje » Mon May 03, 2010 1:03 pm

Hi everyone,

I am in a 10 team H2H League and I am interested in picking up two pitchers. We have a 3 claim limit for each week. I only have two left. My pitching staff is slumping and I am looking for fillers until they get past their cold starts. Who should I drop for any two of the pitchers I listed below?

I am really interested in these pitchers, should I bite.

Jhoulys Chacin
Tom Gorzelanny
Wade LeBlanc

These are the others I am thinking about.

Any takers? I just need a few answers. I am hoping to make a decision in the next few hours before anyone else grabs them.

Thank you.

I would suggest Chacin + Niemann.
Chacin looked lights out on Sunday against the Giants (unfortunately, I was there to see it). It was his first ever start, so who knows what you'll get going forward -- but he was once a top prospect, so he could pan out great. He's not a super-K pitcher, but he's got a Webb-like sinking pitch and incredible ground-ball/fly-ball numbers.

Niemann has great run support, and has looked solid all season. Again, not huge K numbers, but I like him.

Help with mine?

Thank you very much. From my team, who would you pick to drop for them. I was thinking Correia or Jose Guillen or Miguel Olivo for them.

Thank you again.

Drop Correia and Olivo 4 Cahcin and Niemann. LeBlanc is the next in line for me.

Do you think that Correia will get me some wins? I was thinking about droping Olivo and Jose Guillen for them. What do you think? I don't mind going with out an outfield for a week.

Thanks.

Nieman and Chacin are the two to go with, in that order.
