Trade Heyward for Wright in keeper?

Postby jmlevy » Sun May 02, 2010 11:16 pm

12 team H2H, 7x7 with H, OPS, HLD and K/9 added, 16 MLB keepers, 8 man farm club

Hitters:
C - Kurt Suzuki (Oak - C) DL
1B - Miguel Cabrera (Det - 1B,3B)
2B - Brian Roberts (Bal - 2B) DL
SS - Jimmy Rollins (Phi - SS) DL
3B - Álex Rodríguez (NYY - 3B)
Carlos González (Col - OF)
Hunter Pence (Hou - OF)
Justin Upton (Ari - OF)
Jason Heyward (Atl - OF)
Billy Butler (KC - 1B)
Michael Bourn (Hou - OF)
Casey McGehee (2B,3B - Mil)
Orlando Cabrera (SS - Cin)
Everth Cabrera (SS - SD) DL

Pitchers:
Yovani Gallardo (Mil - SP)
Zack Greinke (KC - SP)
Tommy Hanson (Atl - SP)
Bobby Jenks (CWS - RP)
CC Sabathia (NYY - SP)
Max Scherzer (Det - SP,RP)
Joakim Soria (KC - RP)
Mark Buehrle (SP - CHW)
Daniel Bard (RP - Bos)
Hideki Okajima (RP - Bos)
Chris Perez (RP - Cle)
Tim Hudson (SP - Atl)

Farm Club:
1) Wade Davis SP
2) Jarrod Parker SP
3) Gaby Sanchez 1B
4) Brett Wallace 3B
5) Yonder Alonzo 1B
6) Casey Kelly P
7) Jhoulys Chacin RP
8) Kyle Drabek P

I have been offered David Wright for my Jason Heyward straight up. For value, this looks like a great deal, but I already have ARod at 3B and I do not have much depth at OF (farm and bench).

I was thinking about countering to offer Heyward + Hanson for Wright + Choo. Thoughts?

I think the trade of Hanson+Wright makes more sense and Choo is undervalued. However, why would you want Wright? With Arod that seems like a trade for the trade's sake and Hanson is going to be very very good for a long time. I do not really see a clear upgrade?

+1 This is solid advice. Heyward and Hanson are the future stars of your team hold on to them.
League Setup:
13 Team Points League
6 Hitters 3 Pitchers (Positions don't matter)
1B = 1, 2B = 2, 3B = 3, HR = 4, RBI = 1
Win = 12, Save = 5
