Start Peavy?

Postby WSU Tony » Sun May 02, 2010 10:39 pm

I've started Peavy every week so far. I've lost my pitching categories by a sliver EVERY WEEK! Needless to say Peavy has killed me so far.

Start Peavy VS KC or sit him?

My SP: Felix, J. Santana, Wainright, Oswalt, T. Hanson, Liriano, Peavy.

eIt's a matter of time until he turns it around, right? You realize KC is the best hitting team in the AL, right? It takes balls to start him.

Any other opinions?

It's Peavy vs. KC or Hamels vs. STL for me this week. If I sit both I probably have problems getting 40 IP...

I think I'm starting Peavy. Anyone disagree completely?

I am in the exact same boat. Fortunately (or unfortunately, depending on how you look at it), my opponent has a league leading 2.XX ERA (H2H league). My ERA stands around 4.00 overall (Thanks Peavy, Hamels, Hoffman, Carmona, Kazmir...). Anyway, I'm just going to throw them both out there and lose ERA and WHIP, but hopefully secure Wins, K, K/9 and QS.

I'd sit Peavy for sure, his velocity is down and his control is off, recipes for disaster!

Just to point this out... I started both Hamels and Peavy and got ridiculous stats from both players. However, my ERA is north of 4.00 on the week already, thanks to Kershaw and his 45+ ERA outing. I even had Carmona go today and put up a 2.84.
