Braun deal

Postby wkpdpack » Sun May 02, 2010 9:35 pm

I've been offered Cain, Choo, Headley and Zito for Braun. I think I can do better than that since this is a keeper league, but I am also currently second and could use a few more pieces to the puzzle to make sure I finish in the money. I know he wants either Braun or Kemp and probably Braun more. He's desperate to give up so I'd like to get the most out of him that I can if I deal Braun. Please tell me what you think I should ask for to make it worth my while to deal a centerpiece of my team.

I'm thinking if I could get Wieters, Cordero, Headley, Choo, Cain it starts to be more enticing. What do you think? What should I ask for? What should be the lowest you'd accept?

Braun is money in a keeper. I'd be hard pressed to give him up. However, if he really wants him, I'd have to get Wieters in the deal. If he added both Votto and Cain, I'd probably so it.

You'd need a lot more than what he offered to deal Braun. I would need Wieters, Cain, a top OF (probably Lind) and a closer to deal Braun. I'd try and get Wagner since he has no value to a team giving up this season.

If you could pull Wieters, Cargo/Choo, and Cain that would be a pretty solid deal to me. Anything past that is getting greedy to me.
League Setup:
13 Team Points League
6 Hitters 3 Pitchers (Positions don't matter)
1B = 1, 2B = 2, 3B = 3, HR = 4, RBI = 1
Win = 12, Save = 5

If you could get the other deal you said you may be able to get then I'd take it. That would give you a ton of depth and you still have top hitters on your team. I wouldn't settle though, pass on the original deal.
