So I went to today's Cubs/DBacks game and saw Haren's crazy splitter, about 24 or so hits, J-Up finally hitting aHR and some idiot fan throwing the ball back, a wave that went around the park 3 times, Adam LaRoche's extremely awkward batting stance, Marmol's wildness, and Carlos Silva finally showing what type of pitcher he REALLY is.
What I also saw was Mark Reynolds. 2-4, BB, 2 HRs. His homeruns are literally just like Adam Dunn's. They are line drives. This guy didn't even seem to try on the second one. His plate discipline is much better than last year's too. He had one ugly swing against Marmol (ended up walking in the AB), but other than that he seems much better equiped to handle breaking stuff this year. I have some concerns that he only has 1 SB but I guess he just hasn't been in the right situations yet, I think he still can nab 20 easily.
What are you thoughts on this guy's career from here on out? I laughed at him when he first came into the league labelling him as the next Cust, but he has proven me wrong and then some. I am officially a fan.
Sean Tracey has my apologies, we all know Ozzie Guillen is an idiot. I'm rooting for you!
