Quick - Young or Beckham?

Postby rails80 » Sat May 01, 2010 5:39 pm

Which player for my MI slot?

I need help everywhere (last place, somehow) but namely in AVG, R and SBs

Young has been on fire since his call-up, Beckham has started to hit slightly better but another 0/5 today is killing me. I know "it's still early" but I'm falling far behind. I know I have a good team with players having bad starts but at some point, moves have to be made.

So, drop Beckham and add Eric Young?

12 team, roto standard 5x5. No bench, so I won't list my pitchers. Just my bats:

C - Wieters, Doumit
1B - Votto
2B - Utley
3B - Reynolds
SS - Y Escobar
MI - Beckham
CI - Wigginton
OF - Werth, Quentin, Willingham, Pierre, Hart
Util - Smoak
DL - Ellsbury

I know Beckham is struggling pretty nastly right now, but the problem I have is you never know whats going to happen with PT in Colorado once Hawpe comes back.

If EYJr was granted fulltime PT even with Hawpe back then I would say EY because he should help with average, and definitely with R and SB. But at the same time Beckham is just about guarenteed PT in a couple weeks, EY on the other hand isn't. At this point I would say I would have to stick with Gordon to make sure I have a body playing, even if it is only warm.

Great thanks to soto for the sweet sig!...

I think its too soon to let go of Beckham and I dont like Eric Young at all personally. U can always find a MI who gives speed, give me Beckham.
