Pick one to drop WHIR

Postby sman » Sat May 01, 2010 2:52 pm

I am in a head to head ten team keeper league on Yahoo! which uses these stats R, H, 3B, HR, RBI, SB, AVG, OBP, W, CG, SHO, SV, K, ERA, WHIP, K/BB.

My Roster:

C Yadier Molina
1B Billy Butler
2B Asdrubal Cabrera (SS eligible also)
3B Mark Reynolds (1B eligible also)
SS Rafael Furcal
OF Adam Lind
OF Grady Sizemore
OF Ichiro Suzuki
Util Shane Victorino
BN Carlos Gonzalez
BN Rajai Davis
DL Ian Kinsler
DL Miguel Montero

SP Zack Greinke
SP Johan Santana
RP Brian Wilson
RP Rafael Soriano
P Jon Lester
P Jonathan Sanchez
P Billy Wagner
BN Javier Vazquez
BN Hiroki Kuroda
BN Kevin Correia

Kinsler just came off the Disabled List and I need to drop one player to make room for him. Who should I drop? After today, I'm leaning heavily towards Javier Vazquez but I thought I'd see if I got any different opinions here before I went ahead with the move.

Leave a link.

Rajai Davis would be my choice. You have enough speed on your team where you don't need to rely on one player to dominate the category - especially one who is off to a slow start and doesn't provide much help anywhere else.

Give Vazquez some more time to turn it around. Just sit him on your bench for his next few starts.

+1... Like jake said, Davis is good for average and SB. Well right now his average is dog meat and hes somehow still putting up decent SB totals, but with the all around team speed you have you are more then able to cut ties with Rajai.

+2 Lose Raj. Or do some quick trading with him and another in a 2 for 1.Get more at SS or upgrade on Vazquez if you want.

I would drop Davis too. I've already dropped him in one league... no regrets. Give Vazquez a little longer.
