Brian Roberts worth #1 waiver priority??? WHIR

Postby harold_bush » Fri Apr 30, 2010 8:31 pm

10 team, non-keeper, Brian Roberts just dropped. I know things aren't going great for Roberts right now, and it appears he is a ways away from playing, but this guy was a top 40 player last year and this is a long season. What do you think?

Thanks, and link your question and I'll answer.

As long as you don't have to drop anyone to pick him up I would probably do it.
League Setup:
13 Team Points League
6 Hitters 3 Pitchers (Positions don't matter)
1B = 1, 2B = 2, 3B = 3, HR = 4, RBI = 1
Win = 12, Save = 5

I would say yes, especially since you have Hudson. If you had a top 3 second baseman, than no. But Hudson is near the bottom. So, go for it.

Hi, I'm Troy McClure! You might remember me from such nature films as "Earwigs: Ewwww" and "Man vs. Nature: The Road to Victory."

Sorry on my roster, hadn't updated from last year. Please see my new roster, and you still answered my question b/c I have Cano at 2B, who is obviously a top 3 right now.

I'd sit on the number one waiver for a while. Cano is you ticket for now. Thanks for the heads up on Soria. It was nice to have two definitive answers. I was clearly seeing Rios through rose colored glasses.

Thanks for the help on mine.

I'd wait until Roberts resumes baseball activity until you look at picking him up. There's no timetable for his return so he would be taking up space on your roster.

I would wait as well. You already have Cano who is awesome and there is no telling how Roberts will rebound when he gets back.

please help

Having Cano gives you the luxury of waiting for more news on his recovery.... I'd hold on to your priority. If I had to dump, I would look at one of your RPs.

I want to hear your opinion on my post?

Having Cano I would pass. He will finish the year as a top 3 2B.
