Hey, 12-team mixed roto league, with weekly lineups, cats are OBP, SLG, R, HR, SB, RBI and picthing W,ERA,WHIP,HOLDS,SV,K. Holds are pretty key for this league - really hard category to rack up on and why I own Guerrier and Mijares and plan on keeping Madson assuming he goes back to the setup role.
I have Lidge coming off the DL and need to drop a guy. Right now I'm not sure I have a better option than to drop one of the said subject names. I've tried 2 for 1 trades to no avail. Here's my roster and any help on who to drop is much appreciated! I'm leaning towards Ross because he's so streaky. Venable seems to have a lot of upside, but dude is striking out quite a bit which worries me.
C - Y.Molina, Olivo 1B - A. Gonzalez 2B - Kendrick SS - Bartlett 2B/SS - Polanco 1B/3B - P.Sandoval LF - Gardner, C.Lee, Rivera CF - Kemp, Bourn, Ross RF - Rios, Venable (We have a basic OF starting spot and a UTIL, right now my starters are Gardner, Kemp, Rios, and C.Lee in the OF spot and Bourn in the UTIL spot).
Starting staff is Lincecum, Dempster, Gallardo, De La Rosa, Billingsley, C.J.Wilson. Relief staff is: Lidge, Street, Madson, Franklin, Guerrier, J.Mijares, uh..Zambrano goes here too I guess.
Thanks in advance!

I'm in the same boat and was trying to trade as well, but luckily (unluckily?) Brett Anderson went on the DL so I don't have to drop anyone just yet. You could probably get by with just two holds guys for now, but if you want to hang on to them, then I'd drop a catcher, just b/c you will never be able to use them both at the same time.

I agree probably drop a catcher since holds are important in your league.
Thanks guys. If dropping a catcher is the best way to go...Y.Molina or Olivo? I'm thinking in the long run Y.Molina is probably better, but right now Olivo is doing much better. Thoughts?

It's a toss up, but I'd probably go with Molina, looking at long-term.

I know. I stuggle with letting him go for the same reason....being at Coors and having power that is; not the kidney stone! But that is pretty beastly.
Just wanted to let you know we addressed your question specifically on the Cafe's fantasy baseball podcast, The Can of Corn, which aired this afternoon on Fantasy Baseball Cafe Radio - give 'er a listen and you'll get some answers! Hope we can help
