My main issue with this trade is not straight up value, but rather with Youkilis' involvement with your team.....you already have MCab and Wright playing 1st and 3rd, and you have Morneau on the bench who could easily slot into the Utility position so I'm not sure that part of the trade works in your favor. Basically this trade leaves your with a weakened OF and a good bat (either morneau or youks) on the bench.
All in all the value is good, obvioulsy Lincecum > than Carpenter and you can slot Kinsler in over Weeks.....if you think you have a good chance at making a flip and getting trade value out of Morneau, MCab, Youks, or Wright this trade could work out very well for you.
That looks like a pretty fantastic trade for you. Lince is an upgrade over Carpenter, Kinsler will easily out-perform Weeks, and Youk would be great at the Util spot vacated by shifting Ethier to OF after Braun leaves. I would be trying to flip Morneau or Youk, though, for an upgrade at SS. Alex Gonzalez is just not that good.
Just wanted to let you know we addressed your question specifically on the Cafe's fantasy baseball podcast, The Can of Corn, which aired this afternoon on Fantasy Baseball Cafe Radio - give 'er a listen and you'll get some answers! Hope we can help
