This is mostly a question about who I should play this week but the other forum is NEVER checked and need feedback quickly. What 3 pitchers should I use this week, in my weekly league?
Matusz @ NYY Marcum vs. OAK Bucholz vs. LAA Hamels vs. STL Matt Capps (thought Id throw him in since my SV's are getting behind, but will he continue his amazing production??)
Or pick up one of these and start them. (and most likely drop Marcum but if you have a better suggestion, my team is in my profile) (If you think any of these are worthy to pick up and would be good, let me know.)
Gavin Floyd vs. KC Jaime Garcia @ PHI Livan Hernandez vs. ATL C.J. Wilson @ SEA
Those are some tough matchups. I'd feel fine with starting Marcum, the rest you're ERA is most likely going to take a hit. I like the Floyd pickup, he looked good last game and has an easier matchup. For a third I'd go with Hamels. He hasn't been great, but his K/BB radio has been pretty solid, his ERA and WHIP aren't as bad as it seems.
Gavin Floyd and Jamie Garcia shouldn't be free agents. If Garcia has RP eligibility, pick him up NOW (same for CJ Wilson, but Garcia is better). Floyd vs. KC is enticing. While I'd keep Matsuz on the roster, I shy away from starts against the Yankees...at the Yankees.
