I've said it over and over again, I still think Nen is done. No Set-back. Just my opinion, but I think Nen is Done.

jonny - what do you think about Nen?

Glad that I've got Herges and what a nice spring he's had. :-)

Mar 19 With the Giants' bullpen situation still up in the air due to the uncertainty surrounding closer Robb Nen, RHP Matt Herges continued his excellent spring with a shutout inning against the Padres. Herges has yet to give up a hit in six innings this spring. Bigleaguers.com

$%^&&**(darn)

I was hoping Nen's setback would come after the season started so I could grab Herges for $1 in my NL only draft.

I just grabbed Herges myself of the WW. I'm banking on him being the Tim Worrell of this year.

Wasn't there some sort of retirement talk from Nen last year or am I mistaken?

The Giants don't have any closer prospects. The job will be Herges' and I think he's gonna be damn good at it based on what I've seen from him last year in SD and SF and this spring.

Wrong. The Giants do have a prospect ccloser, his name is David Aardsma, former closer for Rice. The kid looks pretty promising, and I wouldn't be surprised to see thim up with the big club next season. He is the Giants closer of the future.

Don't laugh at the Giants prospects, wrveres :-b Merkin Vladez will be making Giants fans ask "Russ Ortiz who?" within the next year or so ;-D

Oh, please no. I drafted him in two leagues, because I got him very late.

Now, somebody else took Herges off the WW. :-t
