Trevor Hoffman, RP MIL
News: Ryan Doumit got the best of Trevor Hoffman again and Garrett Jones' two-out, run-scoring double in the 14th rallied the Pittsburgh Pirates past the Milwaukee Brewers 6-5 on Wednesday. Doumit homered off the all-time saves leader for the second straight day to start the ninth, tying it 4-4. Hoffman suffered his fourth blown save of the season as he allowed one run on the one hit and a walk over one inning. He struck out one and his ERA is now at 13.00 for the season. "That’s two days in a row for him," manager Ken Macha said to MLB.com after the game. "Tomorrow, if we have a chance to win it, perhaps it will be somebody else at the end.”
i personaly feel that Carlos Villanueva will get the first shot his numbers have been awesome this year.
