ARam/Tulo for Panda/Drew?

Postby boyogold » Wed Apr 28, 2010 9:51 pm

I give:

Aramis Ramirez
Troy Tulowitzki

I get:

Pablo Sandoval
Stephen Drew

Thoughts on this trade? I've been trying to get somebody in place of Aramis for a little while now because i just don't trust him...and Pablo would definitely fit the bill. BUT, is it worth taking a loss on Tulo?

My Team:
12 Team H2H (pts based)
Single = 1
Double = 2
Triple = 3
Home Run = 4
Run = 1
RBI = 1
Walk = 1
Stolen Base = 2
Caught Stealing = -1

My roster
C Kurt Suzuki (C/U, OAK)
1B Miguel Cabrera (1B/U, DET)
2B Robinson Cano (2B/U, NYY)
3B Aramis Ramirez (3B/U, CHC)
SS Troy Tulowitzki (SS/U, COL)
OF Andrew McCutchen (OF/U, PIT)
OF Hunter Pence (OF/U, HOU)
OF Ryan Braun (OF/U, MIL)
U Kendry Morales (1B/U, LAA)

P Seattle Mariners (P, SEA)

Bn Chris Davis (1B/3B/U, TEX)
Bn Nolan Reimold (OF/U, BAL)
Bn Rajai Davis (OF/U, OAK)
Bn Andy LaRoche (3B/U, PIT)
Bn Alexei Ramirez (SS/U, CWS)
Bn Jason Kubel (OF/U, MIN)

I would do it. I dont trust Aramis either and he WILL get hurt eventually. I think Pablo comes out of the year with better numbers than Aramis too. Drew hasnt looked bad so far and has a lot of potential. It is hard to lose Tulo but I love Panda's upside. This one is close though and I wouldn't tell you you were wrong if you stayed put. But, I slightly favor the side you would be getting.

Yeah, I'm kind of leaning that way, but I know Tulowitzki can tear it up when he gets on and frankly I just don't know a lot about Drew. If it was straight up Ramirez for Sandoval....no question

Forgot to update my roster too...Chris Davis and Nolan Reimold are gone and I've got Kelly Johnson and Carlos Ruiz in their place.

Easy one...I would not trade a top 3 SS (thin position). Aram will be fine and eventually either 1) someone will drop a 3b that will help you in the ST should Aram fail, or 2) a 3B will come out of no where....There are some prospects that may come up mid-season (like Beckham did last year), such as Pedro Alverez (3B in Yahoo!).

I like that trade for you. Pablo is young and a great hitter. Drew should have a nice year and has good power at SS. A downgrade from Tulo, but will hold his own for you. The injury risk on Aram makes this deal work for you.

good luck

I would not make a move... Tulo's going to have a monster year.
