Peavy @ Tex 4/28

Peavy has been pretty bad and I would need to sit a closer to start him. Any reason not to let him sit this one out?

I'm sitting him until I see something positive.

I agree w/ this. I'm pretty tempted to roll w/ him, since TEX offense has been non-existent this year, but until he puts together a few solid outings he's riding pine on my team.

It is pretty tempting with Cruz out. Peavy also said he thinks he knows why he's struggling (says he's not utilizing his legs in his delivery)--not sure if he'll make the adjustments right away.

I'm probably benching Peavy as well until he can figure it out for sure. 7 walks is just scary no matter who you're facing.

How did that work out for you? I just dropped him and picked up Romero.

I'm not going to lie... pretty bad. Between Peavy, Hamels and Capp yesterday, I went:
13.1 IP, SV, 18K, 6.75 ERA, 1.80 WHIP, 12.15 K/9.

Pretty solid k/9, ugly everything else. I'm not a complete idiot though. I learn from my mistakes. That's why I benched Floyd today @ Tex. I didn't want any of my struggling SP to get roughed up by Tex again. Good for me. Floyd only had this line:
7.0 IP, W, 5K, 1.29ERA, 0.71WHIP, 6.43K/9, QS.

Oh, well. It's just one of those weeks. My opponent's line tonight is:
26.0 IP, 21K, 2.42 ERA, 1.12 WHIP, 4QS.

Understand- my hitters are a combined 0.197 this week after averaging 0.328 the first 3 weeks of the season. and I drafted guys with averages above .285 so weird week. But yeah, I hate trying to guess when to start pitchers.
