Kemp for Verlander and Strasburg? WHIR

Postby MrAccoe » Tue Apr 27, 2010 1:09 pm

I'm contemplating offering this, if he accepts, is it enough? Or should I go for Verlander and Carpenter? (That may be too much to ask?)

We're in year 2 of a 3 year keeper. So I would be getting Strasburg for next year also (if I keep him).

Go big with Verlander Carpenter first. Maybe he takes it, its not so outrageous.

As a matter of fact if he declines, maybe look to trade for someone like a Halladay +. Kemp is beasting and you should be getting elite talent back. I don't see the combo of Verlander and Strasburg as enough even in a keeper of your format.

I would definitely keep Kemp here... he is an absolute stud and I value hitting over pitching. Verlander and Stras aren't nearly enough, and I'd still want to keep Kemp over even Verlander and Carpenter (injury concerns with the latter).

Thanks for the input so far... on a side note, what do you guys think Holliday is worth in terms of pitching?

I totally agree, although having Strasburg instead of Carpenter may not be a downgrade especially if you keep him for next season.
