WHICH PITCHER IS OKAY TO DROP?!? WHIR!!

Postby TheGhost » Tue Apr 27, 2010 9:23 am

I play in a a H2H total points league with deep rosters and deep benches. The waiver wire is sparse to say the least and I think I need to pick up a corner infielder. I currently have Chipper Jones in that position and I'm fine with him there but he has been hurt twice this year and will definitely be hurt again. I need depth there. So... two questions...

Which corner infielder should I add?

Ty Wiggington
Gaby Sanchez
Justin Smoak
Aubrey Huff

Which pitcher should I drop?

Gio Gonzalez
Kevin Correia
Mat Latos
Chris R. Young

THANK YOU!! WHIR!

quickly go get smoak. if this is a deep roster league, there is no way he should still be sitting there. drop young for smoak and take a chance on him. could produce big numbers as the everyday 1b.

help with mine?

only if it's a Keeper league but I like the addition of Smoak, too.
I would track Gaby- I have him in one of my leagues and he looks good- much playing time!.

I would drop Young.
It would be nice to know what you did with our advice - so please write a short reply

Smoak for sure, Huff if you can't get him. I would drop Gonzalez or Young.
League Setup:
13 Team Points League
6 Hitters 3 Pitchers (Positions don't matter)
1B = 1, 2B = 2, 3B = 3, HR = 4, RBI = 1
Win = 12, Save = 5

Thanks guys. I'm going to pick up Smoak for sure. I still don't know who to drop. You guys suggested I drop Young but I like his upside when healthy and is the Padres ace when healthy. Obviously his health is a problem but I'm looking at upside here. Gio has pitched well except for once and Latos just got roped but pitched 7 shutout innings in his previous start. ARG! I can't decide and I feel like whoever I drop will come back to bite me... any more thoughts/justifications on who I should drop? Thanks!
