Just traded Markakis and Nunez for BJ Upton. I needed to free up some roster space with my 3 guys coming off the DL soon so I went ahead and did it. I am pretty big Markakis fan, but seems like Upton is the better player to have in a keeper league as he has more upside. Anyways what do you think is a bad thing to have too many Rays on my roster right now (Longoria, Pena, Upton, Shields)?

I think that was a good move. You ended up with the better player. It's always hard to make choices about what to do when good DL guys are ready to go. I've been in the situation myself a few times.

good deal, u had more than enough closers that dealing nunez didn't effect ur team. also, not a huge fan of markakis, never lives up to the hype...altho the could be said for bj upton but at least he's producing and u know you'll get at least 40 sb from him if nothing else.

Yeah I hear you about making choices. I am a fan of Markakis, but I feel like I get a little more upside in this deal and it helps me out with my roster issue.

Thanks thats the way I felt too. I needed to free up space and Nunez was just sitting there so I packaged him and Markakis for what I feel like its a little better of an OF in Upton. I agree that Upton hasnt produced too much either, but at least he had an excuse in his injuries holding him back a little so hopefully I do OK on this one.

I suppose it could be, but I view it as Upton just a hair better at least a little more upside than Markakis. As you said in a keeper at least its better value.
