Granderson for Ichiro.... help me strategize

Postby cs3 » Mon Apr 26, 2010 11:47 pm

10 team H2H league.
R H HR RBI SB AVG
W SV K ERA WHIP QS

I have Granderson and am trying to work out a trade for Ichiro. This a H2H league, and my team is not going to win the HR or RBi cats very often at all. My team is built to dominate pithching cats (I am 13-1-4 the first 3 weeks and am ranked #1 in every pitching stat). Hitting-wise, i feel like i can consistently win the SB, Hits, and Run categories - so is moving Grandy for Ichiro solid reasoning?
The owner of Ichicro wants to add more HR power, and has inquired about granderson several times already....
He seems ready to make a deal, but i dont know if he will trade sraight up (or if i should ask for more for that matter). Im thinking about the following proposals, but feel free to give me your thoughts on them and other possible deals im not seeing:
Thanks, I will help in your threads wherever i can if you leave me a link

1) my Granderson --- his Ichiro

2) my Granderson + delaRosa(or marcum or matuzus) --- his Ichiro + Price

3) My Granderson + Cuddyer (+ more?) --- his Ichiro + Zobrist

Honestly- I wouldn't trade for Ichiro, he is a great Batter but I see more coming from Curtis. He needs to adjust.
de la Rosa is on DL-15 so it would be tough to trade him.
Your lineup looks good, the only problem is the slow start for your Outfielders.
Try to trade a P from your roster for a nice OF.
It would be nice to know what you did with our advice - so please write a short reply

I'd keep Granderson for now. I don't trust Ichiro this year, and I can't get behind trading away upside like Granderson's for a fading Ichiro this early in the season.

I personally see Granderson for Ichiro as an equal trade. You're sacraficing HRs for Average basically. I don't think you have much more if ANY with Granderson.

Your opinion would be appreciated http://www.fantasybaseballcafe.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=409562&p=3256486

I would stay put with Granderson as well. But as a side note I would also bench him against lefties whenever you can. Hit will bat 8th or 9th against them and he still can't hit them for crap.
League Setup:
13 Team Points League
6 Hitters 3 Pitchers (Positions don't matter)
1B = 1, 2B = 2, 3B = 3, HR = 4, RBI = 1
Win = 12, Save = 5
