I currently have Rajai Davis, but a few impatient owners cut bait with Borbon and Nyjer Morgan. I was wondering if either would be an upgrade over Davis, who has recently come under a bit of a slump himself. I'm particularly interested in Nyjer Morgan (does he maintain a higher average than Davis)?
that is a very, very tough call.. All are pretty even. I'm not confident in borbon bouncing back, soI think I would rank Davis first, then Morgan, then Borbon. But if I was in a draft/auction at the beginning of the year, I probably would have tiered them together with Borbon on top, then Davis and Morgan.
Yeah, this is a really tough call.
There are a few things with the New York Yankees that never change. That's pride, tradition, and most of all, we have the greatest fans in the world. -Derek Jeter, 9/21/08 -- last words from old Yankee Stadium
I'd just like to say that OPS is not a category, SLG is. I agree that it's coming down between keeping Rajai or making a switch to Nyjer Morgan. I'm pretty sure if Borbon shows a pulse or is moved back to lead-off, I could snag him off FA. Since this is a limited moves league (50 total), I'm inclined to just wait it out with Rajai a few more weeks until a clearer winner out of these 3 emerge... unless I can get a consensus otherwise here.
Bumping this again... Davis seems like he's in the doghouse with 3 games on the bench in a row... wait it out, or swap with Nyjer Morgan, who seems to be heating up? And Borbon, who is also heating up, is still available...
I like Davis over Morgan but it's close. I have Davis too, I've benched for a couple of days straight. Just not hitting the ball or getting on base for that matter. But...Morgan has a better team behind him. Nats are hitting well, and Morgan has a better career OBP. Davis will get you more steals though.
With Raj in the doghouse i just dropped him and picked up C. Gonzalez. In your case of Borbon or Morgan. I would take Morgan. I like Raj speed but to many if's with the biggest if in Triple A.
