Big trade ~ MCab vs. Tex

Postby skjelstrom » Sun Apr 25, 2010 10:08 pm

I want to make this proposal but I'm scared cuz I love Miguel Cabrera. But I also think its a good buy low.... Tell me what you think.

I give: Miguel Cabrera, Adrian Belre

I get: Mark Texeira, Aramis Ramirez

I like it. MCab is awesome but so is Teix who will get you more power numbers most likely but won't hit for as high of an avg as MCab. But the other part of the trade is the kicker. Aramis is a huge upgrade over Beltre so I would definitely do it.

please help and read the last post on my thread before answering, thanks

i like Teixeira over Cabrera. Teixeira seems to always start slow, but then pick it up. i think Teixeira is going to be so good over the rest of the season. great protection in the lineup with Arod/Cano behind him.
question is Ramirez and Beltre. i dont think Beltre is as bad as last season. i would think Beltre is going to be back numbers more similar to 2008 with 20+ HR.
Ramirez worries me though. he only had 82 games last season and is getting older. i think Ramirez is a risk.. but i think its worth the risk so i say its doable.

help?

I wouldn't. Cabrera is younger, and the better hitter going by career road stats. I would take Tex, but you aren't buying low at all.

keep Mcab and ride him all the way to a championship fantasy season. Mcab was suppose to be the best hitter last year in the league but he caught a little lingering hamstring injury which effected his numbers for the end of the seaon. He is 100% healthy and went second round this year but is a top 10 player.
