Trade Sizemore for Josh Johnson?

Postby ob187 » Sat Apr 24, 2010 12:46 am

I'm really hurting in pitching until Cliff Lee and/or Lilly comes back. Should I trade Sizemore for Josh Johnson?

If I trade Sizemore, I could put Ibanez or pickup Byrd, Willingham

of Braun, Adam Jones, Carlos Lee, Sizemore, Justin Upton
u Morales, Derek Lee

Pitching (ERA - 10th, K - 8th, S - 7th, W - 9th, WHIP - 6th)

sp Baker, Demspter, Hudson, E. Jackson, Myers, Wolf
rp Dotel, Perez, Soria

Lilly is due back tomorrow so I wouldn't do the deal. Sizemore should have a nice year and his trade value isn't great right now. When he gets it going you can obtain a better SP if you still want one.

My hitting has gotten off to a slow start, but my pitching is what needs help.

Who should I target and which offensive player should I trade for a SP?

I would not make that trade.

Lilly is back I believe, and Lee is really close from everything I read. Stand pat and re-evaluate in a week or two.

PLus I think you need Sizemore's speed.

Although we are past the opening parts of the season, to me its still a few weeks before I would make huge moves to shakeup my team unless I am clearly getting back very good value. Here I don't think the value is there.
