Trade Question-Lots of Pitching

Postby bmclaughlin39 » Fri Apr 23, 2010 5:52 pm

I was offered Jayson Werth and Jair Jurjenns for Felix Hernandez and Justin Verlander. I have Jimenez, de la Rosa, Edwin Jackson, Ricky Romero and Pelfrey(relievers are Feliz and Soriano with Street on the bench). Do I have enough pitching where I can give up these 2 studs? I need walks and home runs, and I'm not getting any. The rest of lineup looks like:
Russel Martin
Votto
Hanley
McGehee
Adam Jones
Jason Bay
Berkman
Austin Jackson
Jose Lopez
Ryan Zimmerman
Vlad

Lemme know what you think....

I would try and search the waiver wire for a guy like Jose Guillen, Justin Smoak or Magglio. You are giving up way too much for Werth. You do have a lot of depth at SP but I would try and deal one of them, preferably Verlander, for Werth. I would require an absolute stud in order to trade Hernandez, say Justin Upton. You are losing too much.
