With my depth at 1B/CI would it still be wise to claim Smoak with the #2 waiver. I really have no place to play him unless I make a trade to free a spot up. Do I hope he gets out the gates hot and throw him around as bait? I've been getting a lot of inquiries about Votto but I'm somewhat reluctant to give him away without getting a solid return. Our league does have a few knuckleheads and there are bound to be some foolish drops along the lines. We play in a league where prospects are addeed when called up obviously. I'm pretty sure that the owner with the #1 waiver isn't savvy enough to use it here so I'd put my chances at about 90% of getting Smoak if I claim. Your advice please?

I think you're deep enough at CI if you count Swish.
I'd rather save my waiver for Carlos Santana.

But I'd leave the impression on your league board that you're upset that you're not getting Smoak because it's "obvious" that the #1 would take him. Maybe the #1 waiver will bite. }:-)

I'd save the waiver. You are loaded at 1B, MI and Util. Smoak is just going to sit on your bench.

In a re-draft with MCab/Votto/Tex (how the hell did you pull that off?), I think you're fine without him.

Think I'd save the waiver, especially if there's someone quick to give up on a more valuable player. As everyone has said, you're deep in CI and no need to burn a waiver on a likely bench player.

1.10 Tex, 2.03 MCab, 4.03 Votto...speaks for the knuckleheads of the league huh? :-b

Thanks for the input guys.

Would also save it unless a ton of good guys like Alvarez are gone. Who else would you wait for?

He would be a nice add but with your lineup I dont really think you need him. Either add him with hopes to trade him, on of your other 1B or just wait to use your waiver on someone else.
